Biography

I live in the beautiful mountains above Preston, Idaho. I have been married for 23 years and have two children. My daughter is 19 and is attending Utah State University. My son is 16 and is a junior at Preston High School. My husband is a musher and we have twenty Alaskan huskies. He races his sled dogs competitively and plans to run the Iditarod in Alaska in 2024. I love to hike, run, cook, and do puzzles. I have been a teacher for nine years. I have been a 5th and 3rd grade teacher. Most recently, I taught math at a middle school to 6th , 7th , and 8th graders. My favorite thing about being a teacher is building relationships of mutual trust and respect with my students. I enjoy seeing the immense social, emotional, and academic growth of my students each year. I feel honored to be a small part of their journey through life.
