Direct Instruction

Direct Instruction is the foundation of instruction at Bear River Charter School

The term "Direct Instruction (DI)" refers to a rigorously developed, research based, highly scripted method of teaching. DI is fast-paced and provides constant interaction between students and the teacher. This method is rich in structure, drilling, and content.

The hard data show that Direct Instruction excels in educating children for life, giving them skills they need, along with self-esteem and positive feelings about school.
